Quallie.

When i was younger, one of my favorite games to play was "animal school". Animal school consisted of lining up our 200 + stuffed animals into "seats" and doing spelling tests. We also had a student of the day, who got to be teacher's pet for the week. One of our reoccuring favorite students was Quallie. Quallie was a cute little koala bear with the cutest little black nose and claws you've ever seen. He came from our great aunt Dee's house. (Her name was Laura but everyone called her Dee her whole life??) Anyway, we never saw her, but when we went with grandmommy once a year to visit, she always had to give us something when we left. Sometimes it was a figurine, a book, but only once was it an awesome stuffed animal!! Dee pulled Quallie and his best friend, Baboo (a little brown bear) off her shelf and handed them to me and Linz, and thus began our obsession with koala bears. All throughout my elementary and middle school years, I proudly drew a little koala bear perched on a tree limb on all my binders, as well as bought every koala stuffed animal i could get my hands on. Their names? Quallie 1, Quallie 2, new Quallie 1, new Quallie 2.... guess i wasn't too creative.. Anyway, yesterday jake and i went to the riverbanks zoo in columbia, and i got to see a live koala. actually 3-a grandpa, dad, and baby. The grandpa posed for a few pictures and videos :-)
